Requirements
- BS/MS or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience required
- Strong desire to take ownership of the full product lifecycle
- 10+ years in product management experience
- Must have experience in one or more areas – Networking, Network Management, Network Security, Next Generation Firewalls
- Hands-on experience in managing devices from onboarding to decommissioning and prior experience in building SaaS products, driving IT operational efficiency is a plus
- Strong and proven (written and verbal) communication and presentation skills in leading and contributing to cross-functional teams
- Experience in fast-paced environments with overlapping projects/deliverables
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills required with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements and strategies
- Experience in making data based product decisions
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product strategy for Palo Alto’s flagship product Strata Logging Service
- Understand customer problems and use cases intimately
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand and support collecting logs for the new products and features that require visibility for our customers
- Own the vision, roadmap and requirements for your features
- Create and manage the product roadmap, outlining key features, enhancements for the SaaS platform offering around ingestion, processing, storing, forwarding and platform scaling
- Collaborate with UX, engineering and other product team members to deliver high-quality products that solve customer problems with a differentiated, automated and optimized approach
- Work closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into actionable development plans
- Engage with the product marketing team and help them develop compelling messaging, impactful sales tools and marketing content to support sales and field marketing teams
- Interact with customers, partners and sales engineering teams in different forums to gather feedback and evangelize the product
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of visibility and monitoring features
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive offerings
- Collaborate with technical marketing, sales engineering and technical support teams to enable sales and train the field teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in building SaaS products, driving IT operational efficiency is a plus
