Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of product management experience, with a strong emphasis on data product or data engineering
  • Proven experience creating scalable solutions to serve up and extract actionable insights from large, complex datasets
  • Experience shaping data products that include thoughtful, user-centered UI considerations to drive adoption and usability
  • Experience integrating third-party data tools and platforms into an enterprise ecosystem
  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to influence peers, key stakeholders and leaders
  • Expert at working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Capable of setting vision and strategy, defining Organizational Key Results (OKRs), and leading teams to achieve measurable business outcomes
  • Strong SQL, Data Exploration and Data Visualization skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the execution of the enterprise strategy for providing Target’s business partners the data they need to drive the growth of their businesses with Target
  • Define which technical implementations are needed to enable the operating model between Target’s business teams and Target’s external business partners
  • Work in the product model and lead the development of a comprehensive product strategy and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product domain
  • Leverage extensive knowledge of your product, customer feedback, key data and analytics, and other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product
  • Be the ‘voice of the product’ to all outside stakeholders advocating for your product and ensuring their needs are met
  • Cultivate strong relationships across the enterprise to drive collaboration and alignment with key partners and stakeholders across pyramids
  • Develop and actively maintain a product roadmap outlining prioritization for the customer themes, technical needs, and design challenges to be delivered
  • Accountable to make final decisions on scope and prioritization relative to the product backlog
  • Create and manage product objectives and key results, key metrics for your product, as well as related P&L impacts
  • Oversee progress against product backlogs to ensure work and priorities are in line with the product strategy while prioritizing themes, epics, and stories
