Requirements

  • Experienced leader who mentors, inspires and empowers those that work for them and those they work with, leading the way by example.
  • Data-informed decision maker with the ability to balance business priorities, player perspectives, resources, capacity, and partner needs across studio and publishing collaborators.
  • Deep experience working with Consumer Insights, User Experience Research, Data Science and other research and insights functions to evaluate game direction and execution quality
  • Extensive experience in product management, production, live ops, game design, and/or other related fields.
  • Experience working on premium AAA franchises or console/PC Free-to-Play games and driving data-informed product strategies in both pre- and post-launch environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify, structure, and communicate information for all levels of the organization.
  • Deep passion for understanding both games and their players, able to deconstruct and articulate what makes for a successful game in today’s market.
  • Displays resourcefulness, passion and self-motivation; excels in ambiguous environments and enjoys creating clarity.

Responsibilities

  • Closely collaborate with development and publishing teams to define product priorities for multiple unannounced projects, including:
  • Lead and drive the process of evaluating product market fit for our games, working cross functionally to strategically impact product direction for multiple titles throughout the full development lifecycle, from concept to post-launch.
  • Develop deep expertise in the games in your portfolio and their competition. Lead critical initiatives, manage priorities, and share valuable insights across the portfolio and Product teams to continue to evolve our product strategy.
  • Champion and lead product strategy across the titles in your portfolio, ensuring that product roadmap and team priorities serve measurable player and business outcomes.
  • Provide insights-backed product recommendations to studios, collaborating with insights teams (Data Science, Consumer Insights, UXR) to analyze player behavior, assess product performance, and guide product priorities and roadmaps.
  • Define telemetry needs, critical metrics, reporting, and analyses needed to develop insights into player behaviors in partnership with the Analytics team. Analyze data and translate it into insights and strategies that enable us to meet and exceed core franchise targets.
  • Work with Production to build and maintain strong relationships with the Studio, fostering a culture of close collaboration and trust.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with Studio Partners along while fostering collaboration across diverse teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Lead and prioritize the work of other Product Managers and Data Analysts, ensuring alignment with strategic and portfolio goals and the delivery of high-quality results.
  • Work alongside Commercial Growth teams to build strategies for pricing, in-game promotions, SKUs, and ongoing content.
  • Market Intelligence – Deliver research on the competitive landscape, trends, competitor products, including product teardowns and competitive analysis.
  • Be the Product Champion – Share insights, processes, and lessons learned with other studio & publishing teams.
  • Be the Player Advocate – Understand and advocate for the player’s perspective to ensure the development of fair and balanced engagement & monetization models that empower customer choice and value for time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Well-versed with shooters, ARPGs, tactical shooters, and/or roguelikes.
  • Strong critical thinking, strategy, problem-solving, business analysis, and data-informed decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong preference for being a fire marshal vs. a firefighter. Able to identify, communicate, and mitigate risks before they become existential problems.
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools and comfortable building models to explore opportunities while working closely with analytics.
  • A self-motivated, lifelong learner who recognizes the games industry is always evolving; the only constant is change.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau (SQL double plus).
