Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline from an accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of experience; OR 3 years’ experience with a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline for Principal Systems Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline from an accredited institution with a minimum of 8 years of experience; OR 6 years’ experience with a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline for Sr. Principal Systems Engineer
- Must have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance Secret or above
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
- Technical knowledge and practice in design, analysis, cross-functional integration, or on-aircraft experience with Subsystems, Composites, or Metallic Structures
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in managing the implementation of multi-disciplinary projects and stakeholders
- Experience with creating and maintaining an Internal Master Schedule
- Customer facing and leadership facing presentation experience
- Ability to distill complex issues and convey to a wide audience
- Knowledge with Configuration Management
Responsibilities
- Join a team to plan and execute production integration startup activities
- Maintain technical integration, cost, and schedule for establishing a new F-35 production facility
- Coordinate with the customer and internal Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to align overall vision and goal for rapid development
- Drive down critical issues including production startup integration between Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Production to completion
- Present status and issues to Program Leadership
- Find solutions and collaborate with colleagues and subject matter experts
Preferred Qualifications
- Final DoD security clearance Secret or above
- Experience with leading Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA)
- Government Contracts experience
- Team leadership and technical delegation experience highly desired
- Experience with Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing and Test documentation
- Familiarity with Cost/schedule/budget concepts and tools (EVMS, SAP, etc.)
- Experience with production rate vehicle development
