Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years.
- A proven track record in electro-mechanical hardware development, ideally in highly regulated industries (think aircraft, automotive, medical device, or defense).
- Familiarity with tooling is a plus, and experience as a tool designer will set you apart.
- Proficiency in CAD systems for mechanical design and analysis (SolidWorks preferred) is essential.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum) is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development of inventive solutions to complex design challenges for our infusion systems.
- Define design requirements and hardware specifications based on real customer needs.
- Dive into the design and development of intricate mechanical assemblies, mechanisms, and components for our electro-mechanical medical devices.
- Conduct in-depth mechanical analyses, including tolerance, load, fatigue life, and thermal modeling.
- Work closely with electrical and consumable components to ensure seamless integration.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and problem-solving initiatives related to mechanical design.
- Convert project scopes into actionable requirements and develop comprehensive project plans.
- Ensure a smooth transition of products to manufacturing, optimizing for reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Define testing protocols and conduct necessary validations to ensure the safety and effectiveness of our designs.
