Principal Guidance Navigation & Controls Engineer

Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science (MS) and 3 years of relevant experience OR PhD with 1 year of relevant engineering and/or lab experience
Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Knowledge of fixed-wing aircraft dynamics
Experience using linear control principles and tools to design feedback control systems
Experience analyzing non-linear simulations of aircraft closed-loop responses
Experience using MATLAB to create, process, analyze, and visually represent data.

Design, develop, implement, verify, and test algorithms, software, and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) of air vehicle systems
Develop control laws to meet air vehicle system linear and non-linear dynamic simulation models and integrate models into software and hardware-in-the-loop simulation environments.
Perform flying qualities analysis.
Support non-linear and hardware-in-the-loop lab testing.
Perform low level unit testing for software verification.
