Requirements
- Ten (10) or more years of experience in geotechnical engineering or eight (8) years of experience plus a Master’s degree or PhD in geotechnical engineering
- Electric utility projects experience
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification in one (1) state
- Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles related to earthwork, retaining wall, slope stability, foundation design, subsurface investigations, and geotechnical construction
Responsibilities
- Review and seal foundation and landslide mitigation designs as assigned
- Travel (~20%) to diagnose geotechnical issues related to electric transmission lines and substations
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge/experience with SLOPE/W (or equivalent) slope stability software
- Experience with FAD Tools, LPILE, SHAFT, GROUP, etc. foundation design software
- Experience with Civil 3D
