Requirements

  • 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
  • Prior leadership experience in SEIT Lead roles or equivalent
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and initiative to perform in a cross functional team
  • Demonstrate ability to learn and integrate new programming languages based off previous experience
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the program is adhering to sound engineering processes in production and test and sustainment products for our customers and is compliant with company policy, procedures, and quality standards
  • Maintains and participates as the Space Vehicle Lead for programs, and providing scheduling of activities with strong technical oversight and reporting to stakeholders on the schedule of activities to meet program milestones
  • Mentors Level 1 and Level 2 engineers in fostering their professional growth and development by providing guidance, sharing expertise, and supporting them in achieving objectives.
  • Utilizes system implementation approaches for operational concepts
  • Authors technical documentation such as white papers, proposal technical volumes, systems engineering design documentation
  • Space Vehicle Lead Engineer tasked with
  • General frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques​
  • Learns and understands NG test engineering practices and principles​
  • General understanding of programming languages to evaluate, troubleshoot, test, and develop test software code
  • Understands both electrical circuits and software within the flight hardware and Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE)
  • Supports EGSE and flight hardware test/troubleshooting efforts and ability to perform this tasking with little to no oversight from another Electrical Engineer​
  • Fully grasps escalation plan when test errors are encountered. Participates in anomaly resolution process while offering technical solutions for FRB approval.​
  • Travel and support different shifts when required​
  • Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned​
  • Follows established procedures​
  • Has technical insight and experience to know if test set-up and results make sense​
  • Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects​
  • Ability to establish and maintain infrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters

Preferred Qualifications

  • An active Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph at time of application is highly preferred.
  • Excellent decision making and communication (written and oral) skills
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and creativity
  • Experience with any of the following: Microsoft Visio, National Instruments LabView
  • Experience with hardware or software testing and test scripting
  • Experience in Electronics troubleshooting, RF test configuration testing, Environments testing (Vibration Analysis/Thermal Vacuum chamber testing)
  • Experience in Automated Test Equipment usage and troubleshooting
  • Programming experience with any of the following languages: Python, C, C++, Perl
  • Experience with version control tools (Subversion, Git)
  • Experience with Linux OS
  • Experience in Aerospace or Defense industry (development or test)
