Requirements
- BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 8+ years of experience in mechanical design, OR
- Advanced degree in a related engineering field with 5+ years of experience in mechanical design
- U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
Responsibilities
- Design lead for investigation of military engine field incidents reported by USAF leading to root cause and corrective action.
- Develop serviceable limits for engine part wear for the USAF as well as lead or support producibility improvement investigations at various vendors.
- Perform engineering first piece reviews remotely and at vendor locations for new and cold start parts.
- Assist in creation of safety risk analysis and develop risk mitigation plans as well as present and communicate results to customers and program management.
- Analysis and disposition of quality non-conformances (QNs) for new parts, and supplier requests for information (SRI’s).
- Travel domestically up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Mechanical of Aerospace Engineering
- 8+ years experience in jet engine design
- Rotating hardware and airfoil experience
- Experience with Unigraphics NX and Teamcenter
- ANSYS experience desired
- Familiarity with engineering standard work
- Class I and II EC process
- Proficiency with SAP
- Experience with fault tree investigation
