Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field
  • 10 years of related experience including previous experience as a Principal Data Architect, or similar leadership role
  • Prior experience developing and overseeing data solution architecture and/or at-scale design for a complex enterprise
  • Prior experience developing and implementing data platform strategies
  • Broad knowledge of data and data technology trends and robust data industry understanding
  • Robust understanding of cyber threats, cohesive and effective mitigation strategies through data architecture and design
  • Experience in vendor management
  • Experience leading data transformational initiatives in complex environments

Responsibilities

  • Deep understanding of leading data technologies and how they work together
  • Defining the overall data technology roadmap
  • Lead transition and transformation by developing technical designs that meet the needs of the institution
  • Regularly conducts research and evaluation of current data technology trends and industry practices to inform strategy
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively with business, clinical, technical, and executive audiences
  • Ability to clearly articulate trade-offs and rationale for recommendations
  • Comfortable working with staff at all levels of the organization
  • Business-driven, people-focused, with exceptional influencing and storytelling skills
  • Experienced in establishing credibility, obtaining buy-in and leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to develop and foster strategic partnerships with technology vendors, startups, and industry leaders
  • Data driven in decision making and continuous improvement of services
  • Develops, implements and monitors data policies, procedures and standards in collaboration with other Technology and Risk Management leaders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Experience in hospital, medical education, research, or related fields of healthcare
  • New facility technology-related technical design and implementation experience
  • Experience with developing and managing strategic partnerships
  • Experience in data technology strategic planning
  • Data modeling experience is a plus
