Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field
- 10 years of related experience including previous experience as a Principal Data Architect, or similar leadership role
- Prior experience developing and overseeing data solution architecture and/or at-scale design for a complex enterprise
- Prior experience developing and implementing data platform strategies
- Broad knowledge of data and data technology trends and robust data industry understanding
- Robust understanding of cyber threats, cohesive and effective mitigation strategies through data architecture and design
- Experience in vendor management
- Experience leading data transformational initiatives in complex environments
Responsibilities
- Deep understanding of leading data technologies and how they work together
- Defining the overall data technology roadmap
- Lead transition and transformation by developing technical designs that meet the needs of the institution
- Regularly conducts research and evaluation of current data technology trends and industry practices to inform strategy
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively with business, clinical, technical, and executive audiences
- Ability to clearly articulate trade-offs and rationale for recommendations
- Comfortable working with staff at all levels of the organization
- Business-driven, people-focused, with exceptional influencing and storytelling skills
- Experienced in establishing credibility, obtaining buy-in and leading multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop and foster strategic partnerships with technology vendors, startups, and industry leaders
- Data driven in decision making and continuous improvement of services
- Develops, implements and monitors data policies, procedures and standards in collaboration with other Technology and Risk Management leaders
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in related field
- Experience in hospital, medical education, research, or related fields of healthcare
- New facility technology-related technical design and implementation experience
- Experience with developing and managing strategic partnerships
- Experience in data technology strategic planning
- Data modeling experience is a plus
