Requirements
- A 4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- 8+ years of related work experience, with a proven track record in roadway and highway design
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required
- Proficiency with MicroStation v8i and Geopak is essential
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively
- Familiarity with industry practices and regulations, with specific experience working with NCDOT/SCDOT
Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical excellence of engineering functions across projects
- Provide technical direction and design leadership, mentoring junior engineers on roadway design projects
- Prepare comprehensive design and construction documents
- Work closely with the project team and interdisciplinary technical personnel
- Assist the project manager in delivering project milestones
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for clients and project managers
- Assist in identifying and managing project resources
- Contribute to identifying new project pursuits and participate in Parsons’ pursuit process
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Civil3D and ORD (Open Roads Designer) is preferred
