Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive experience in designing, implementing and troubleshooting complex data solutions in cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with data ingestion, data modeling, data storage, ETL, and reporting, with a strong focus on streaming and event-driven logging using AWS services (MSK, Lambda, EC2, ECS, Glue, S3, etc).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing data security, compliance, and monitoring using AWS services (KMS, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Athena and Power BI.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams or projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to the organization’s vision statement and decision-making framework, understanding how team and personal goals contribute to the organization’s vision.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, reliable and effective data solutions on AWS, including data ingestion, ETL pipelines, data storage, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Develop strategies and best practices for data solutions. Stay current with the latest advancements in related technologies. Identify opportunities, lead, and implement solutions to improve data pipeline performance, enhance data quality, and streamline processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot failure or performance issues in data solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to discuss use cases, requirements, and objectives, developing effective data ingestion and data analytics solutions across the organization and global Toyota affiliates, and ensuring timely delivery of data solution projects.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or related certifications.
  • Experience in cybersecurity domain
  • Experience with SIEM solutions, such as Microsoft Sentinel, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, with a focus on their big data and analytics services.
