Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or similar field preferred; equivalent experience required.
- Minimum two years of experience in pharmacy, insurance, managed care, or corporate environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Epicor and Medispan software.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Ability to analyze data and identify key drivers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of NFP/CGD programs through various stages including product selection, data collection, proposal development, approval processes, implementation and post-implementation monitoring.
- Assist in vendor contract negotiations for NFP/CGD products.
- Provide data analysis to support pricing strategies for specialty drugs.
- Conduct ad hoc studies and analyses regarding trends in drug utilization, rebates, AMP and WAC.
- Prepare correspondence, memorandums, presentations, and reports to effectively communicate results and recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Pharmacy, Finance, Operations, Vendor Relations, and Information Technology to ensure seamless integration of programs.
- Stay current on emerging issues impacting the pharmacy industry such as drug shortages, compounding legislation, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with drug reimbursement and/or group purchasing highly desirable.
- Knowledge of retail and specialty pharmacy operations preferred.
