Requirements
- A first-level university degree in computer science, data science, business analytics, information systems or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Power BI report and dashboard development, with a portfolio demonstrating experience in financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of Azure and SQL databases, and experience working within data warehouse environments.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial and programmatic information in visually engaging and intuitive formats.
- Fluent reading, writing and speaking abilities in English.
Responsibilities
- Conduct meetings with stakeholders (including finance officers, program managers, and donor relations teams) to gather reporting requirements.
- Translate stakeholder needs into technical specifications and report design plans.
- Design Power BI dashboards and reports for donor reporting and internal project management.
- Propose and implement visual elements that clearly convey key insights, trends, and compliance with funding agreements.
- Connect Power BI to existing Azure and SQL-based data warehouses.
- Ensure data is accurately queried, cleaned, and transformed to support reporting needs.
- Optimize data models for performance and usability, whilst minimizing complexity and maintenance efforts.
- Work with stakeholders to test reports and validate outputs against source systems.
- Iterate based on feedback and ensure alignment with reporting standards and donor requirements.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, including report user guides and technical design documentation.
- Train relevant ICAO personnel in the use and maintenance of the dashboards and underlying datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications in Power BI, SQL, or Azure.
- Familiarity with accounting principles, financial statements, and donor reporting in an international development context.
- Experience working with or for international organizations, preferably the UN or similar governmental entities.
- A working knowledge of any other language of the Organization (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish).
