Requirements
- DVM or equivalent
- Basic expertise in molecular biology techniques including but not limited to cell culture, RT-PCR, western blotting, basic histology, and ELISA design and performance
- Familiarity with large and small animal husbandry, handling, and medical care, including surgical asepsis
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily observation and monitoring of study subjects on simultaneous projects
- Schedule, organize, perform and troubleshoot/optimize research procedures and techniques for simultaneous research projects
- Perform various cellular molecular laboratory procedures, including three-dimensional cell and tissue culture
- Schedule, organize and perform or assist in medical and surgical procedures
- Assist or act as the primary author for preparation, writing, and routing of research proposals and manuscripts
- Manage data for numerous simultaneous projects
- Didactic and/or laboratory teaching and other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. with 2 years of experience
- Basic expertise in molecular biology techniques including but not limited to cell culture, RT-PCR, western blotting, basic histology, and ELISA design and performance
- Familiarity with large and small animal husbandry, handling, and medical care, including surgical asepsis
- DVM or equivalent
