Requirements
- PhD in Neuroscience, Experimental Psychology (with a focus in Neuroscience), Biology, Computational Neuroscience, or closely related field from an accredited university.
- Fundamental knowledge, formal training, and demonstrated enthusiasm for the field of dolorology.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment and maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and complete complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Experience with data analysis with statistical software such as R, SPSS, JASP, etc. and figure generation software (i.e. PRISM or SigmaPlot).
Responsibilities
- Conduct all phases of the research process including but not limited to study design, data collection, data analysis, and dissemination of findings (abstracts, presentations, manuscripts).
- Collect data including methods such as survey, EEG, behavioral paradigms, and cognitive assays for ongoing research as well as novel research.
- Train and mentor undergraduate students.
- Assist with the development of new grant applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience collecting electroencephalogram data (preferably with the MagStim EGI system).
- Experience analyzing EEG data (especially coherence and current dipole analysis).
