Requirements
- Experience working with quantitative and/or spatial data
- Familiarity with programming environments such as R or Python
- Comfortable working with large geospatial datasets
- Ph.D. degree in geography, agriculture/agronomy, environmental science, or a related subject received within the last 5 years
Responsibilities
- Conduct geospatial modelling of agricultural management practices across Canada
- Contribute to the development of a roadmap for emission reduction
- Participate in the collaborative development of spatially explicit baseline data of cropping practices
- Identify representative crop rotations
- Develop spatially explicit baseline datasets of fertilizer use across major growing regions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multivariate statistics
- Experience with machine learning
- Experience with remote sensing
