Requirements
- Comprehensive Understanding of Investor Guidelines including FHA, USDA, VA, FNMA and FHLMC
- 3+ years of quality control underwriting experience
- 6+ years of front end underwriting mortgage experience
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work under timelines, balancing multiple projects at once
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work extended hours (late evenings or weekend work)
Responsibilities
- Performs audits of closed loans, and ensures loans are underwritten according to Movement’s policies and procedures
- Re-underwrites the income, assets, credit and appraisal for all Post-Closing quality control audit selections based
- Evaluates re-verified documents including income, assets, credit, and appraisal
- Rates each file on credit worthiness and quality of the loan file
- Communicates findings to the appropriate Operations Underwriter
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree in related field preferred
- DE (Direct Endorsement) designation preferred
- VA SAR (Staff Appraisal Reviewer) preferred
- USDA underwriting experience preferred
- Proficiency in PCLender preferred
- Proficiency in ACES preferred
