Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or other related discipline, or equivalent related experience.
- 4+ years of Commercial/Corporate/Commercial Real Estate/Specialized Banking and/or Credit Approval Experience.
- 4+ years of extensive experience handling complex credits.
- Must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to lawfully drive self, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Underwriting, credit monitoring and portfolio management of power project finance and utility relationships.
- Preparing and processing loan modification / amendment requests.
- Tracking covenant compliance and internal portfolio tracking metrics.
- Reviewing legal documentation and maintaining credit files and loan documentation.
- Reviewing borrowing and disbursement requests and interfacing with Risk Management, internal and external Legal, Loan Operations, and the Credit Department.
- Assisting with review and quality control of the work of supporting junior staff on transactions and for annual reviews/modifications.
- Maintaining and building loans and deposits, fee income and referrals of business.
- Ensuring portfolio administration and risk management of each client relationship is in compliance with established credit policy, procedure and business strategy as well as regulatory guidelines.
- Co-managing relationships by analyzing financial data to determine the merits of specific loan requests, and recommending structure as well as aggressively managing the client relationship.
- Partnering with the Relationship Manager as the point of contact for the client; acting as a liaison to the Credit Department, the Commercial support staff and other internal business partners.
- Training and development of more junior portfolio manager.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years working in Specialized Finance – Energy.
- 2+ years of sales experience.
- 2+ years of formal credit training.
- CFA-Charted Financial Analyst.
