Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related discipline, or equivalent related experience.
- 2-4 years Commercial/Corporate/Commercial Real Estate/Specialized Banking and/or Credit Approval Experience.
- 2-4 years Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
- Must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to lawfully drive self, if applicable, by start date.
Responsibilities
- Support the Power & Utilities portfolio management group and handle credit coverage for power project finance and utility client relationships.
- Prepare analyses and conduct credit investigations of routine and more complex credits.
- Assist with account servicing, credit administration, KYC, and documentation.
- Provide independent support with credit applications, amendments, waivers, research, and statistical analyses.
- Evaluate financial data to determine the merits of loan requests (including adherence to loan policy).
- Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management of each Power and Utilities client relationship is in compliance with established Associated Banc-Corp credit policy, procedure and business strategy as well as regulatory guidelines.
- Co-manage relationships by analyzing financial data to determine the merits of specific loan requests, and recommend structure as well as manage the client relationship.
- Develop credit information for use by appropriate staff and committees in making decisions about credit arrangements for new and existing loans.
- Review all pertinent credit and financial information and determine the need for more thorough investigation or additional information.
- Analyze information statements and related material and prepare thorough, well-written, and clear credit reports.
- Prepare summaries, present facts, and offer opinions concerning creditworthiness.
- Understand and follow bank guidelines, policies, and procedures for the preparation and presentation of credit information.
- Develop and utilize computerized spreadsheets, programs, and other automated tools for credit analysis, special projects, or presentations.
- Assist in the preparation of internal research and analysis, provide statistical reports, and verify information.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on topics as assigned.
- Maintain expertise in assigned industries or market sectors and keep abreast of industry trends and competitive environment.
- Assist with due diligence/analysis with new client relationships and opportunity memos as appropriate.
- Partner with the Relationship Manager(s) as the point of contact for the client; acting as a liaison to the Credit Department, the support staff and other internal business partners.
- Participate in community and business functions/groups to ensure a positive image for the bank within the region’s marketplace.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years Extensive experience handling complex credits and more complicated financial analysis.
- 1-3 years Sales and client-facing experience.
- 1-3 years Formal Credit Training.
- CFA-Charted Financial Analyst within 3-5 years.
