Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma
- must obtain within 6 months of hire. – must obtain within 6 months of hire., Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) – Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)
Responsibilities
- Provides safe and effective patient care that addresses age-specific variations related to clinical, educational, psychosocial and cultural needs.
- Completes appropriate educational activities to maintain and increase competency, including all required hospital and departmental in-services, education, and training as assigned.
- Collaborates with other team members and departments to facilitate patient care across the continuum.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment conducive to meeting customer needs and regulatory standards.
- Provides feedback, reports, & initiates changes to improve patient care and/or the work environment.
- Utilizes available standards, literature and research findings to guide evidence-based practice decisions and provide leadership in patient care.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
