Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management or project coordination, preferably within a cybersecurity or IT compliance environment
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., NIST, CMMC, ISO 27001)
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or equivalent
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

  • Support the program manager in planning, tracking, and delivering all project phases, ensuring milestones are met within deadlines and budgets
  • Coordinate daily program activities, schedules, and resource allocation to meet contractual obligations
  • Maintain program documentation, including project plans, quality control plans, risk registers, and status reports
  • Assist in the interpretation and application of cybersecurity compliance standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-53, ISO/IEC 27001) to program objectives
  • Track and document compliance efforts, ensuring they align with contract requirements
  • Collaborate with technical teams to facilitate and validate the development and update of policies, procedures, and documentation for audits and assessments
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams, contractors, and government or commercial stakeholders to support contract operations
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, and document decisions to ensure all parties remain informed and aligned
  • Provide clear communication on project updates, risks, and performance metrics to stakeholders
  • Track the attendance of all contractor personnel and validate their daily time registering, activity logs, and weekly status reports
  • Identify and assess risks related to cybersecurity compliance and program delivery
  • Propose mitigation strategies and work with relevant teams to address potential issues proactively
  • Track and report on risk management activities to the program manager and stakeholders
  • Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success
  • Prepare program status updates, compliance reports, and briefing materials for senior leadership
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews as needed
  • Evaluate current processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assist in the development of workflows and tools to streamline project and compliance management

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or CAPM certification is a plus
  • Security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one)
