Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience spanning multiple IT disciplines including technical architecture, networking, DevOps, middleware, database management, or operations.
- 5+ years of experience with multi-cloud, distributed, and hybrid cloud environments.
- 2+ years of experience with infrastructure automation (Infrastructure as Code, configuration management).
- Demonstrated experience with IT service management integrations.
- Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud security principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work on complex projects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Be the go-to person for any infrastructure architectural design for hybrid cloud platform solutions and reference design models.
- Innovate and experiment with new hybrid cloud services by designing and implementing Proof of Concepts (POCs).
- Develop comprehensive hybrid cloud strategy roadmaps that align with the company’s goals and future needs.
- Define and drive hybrid cloud solution architectures that ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and business units, to understand their requirements and incorporate them into cloud services and architecture standards.
- Establish and enforce hybrid cloud best practices in design, implementation, and governance.
- Report on the state and direction of Takeda’s cloud platform environments periodically.
- Lead the integration of hybrid cloud environments, ensuring optimized performance and cost management.
- Utilize cloud-native monitoring services like CloudWatch and CloudTrail and integrate them with enterprise telemetry tools like Splunk.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a team lead is strongly preferred.
- Relevant AWS certifications (AWS Certified Architect) are desired.
- Experience working in a life sciences environment and/or familiarity with Takeda is desired.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and experience working with change management or internal communications teams.
- Experience working with virtual/Agile teams in different locations, aligning and adapting different work, culture, and communication styles.
- Experience with designing and development of pharmaceutical life science products.
