Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Management or related field or 5 years of demonstrated effective supervisory experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Familiarity with SAP and Aspen
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills
  • Assertive, creative, energetic, and positive thinking
  • Availability to work any shift, including holidays, nights, and weekends, including coverage for supervisor vacancies and vacations

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with all Plant Rules
  • Ensuring compliance with all plant productivity requirements
  • Ensuring operator accountability to their job requirements
  • Ensuring operator staffing is appropriate for shift requirements
  • Coordinating/supporting compliance with production schedule requirements
  • Coordinating all necessary Preventative and Reactive Maintenance requirements
  • Supporting plant cost control initiatives and measures
  • Coordinating/supporting Plant Loss Accounting (OEE) systems
  • Supporting operations support functions, including quality and maintenance
  • Supporting all safety and quality initiatives, including performing and assisting in investigations
  • Ensuring compliance with all plant safety procedures and guidelines
  • Coordinating/executing plant safety training requirements
  • Completing/executing all required safety and environmental inspections
  • Ensuring compliance with all incident and accident investigations/reporting/corrective action
  • Ensuring workforce compliance with all plant quality procedures and guidelines
  • Ensuring all production activities are performed in accordance with all ISO and GMP requirements
  • Supporting customer experience activities through internal/external customer visits; sales/commercial team plant visits; and translation of customer experience to plant metrics
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects and initiatives
  • Offering new ideas and thinking outside the box
  • Ensuring team adaptability, flexibility, and readiness to change
  • Professionally leading and managing production requirements with direct reports
  • Creating an environment conducive to teamwork on shift and with other supervisors and departments
  • Participating and/or leading teams
