Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field preferred
- Minimum 4 years previous experience as a Scheduler in a Manufacturing environment
- Aerospace/Defense industry knowledge preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient use of MS Excel (macros, vlookups, pivot tables, charts/graphs)
- Presentations to internal/external customers
- Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully
Responsibilities
- Develops realistic, detailed production schedules and conducts critical path analyses to support program planning and continuing performance evaluation.
- Ensures timely preparation and submission of status and progress reports and related data required. Supports management and customer reviews as requested by the program manager.
- Develops reports and techniques to monitor production program schedule variances against the plan and current forecasts.
- Examines material requirements against MRP recommendations for scheduled delivery to meet Kit release dates.
- Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
- Requisitions material to establish sequential delivery dates to departments, manufacturing order kit needs according to job order priorities and material availability.
- Compiles, maintains and analyzes a monthly computerized report of material inventory for raw material, work in progress and finished goods including excess and obsolete material reports with recommendations and actions to be taken to meet established inventory turns goals.
