Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in production planning or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated capability working with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of enthusiasm and a passion for excellence.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills, and able to rely on experience to accomplish goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update production orders based on customer orders, demand forecasts, and inventory levels.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust orders as needed to accommodate changes in demand or production delays.
  • Process raw material receipts to facilitate production order creation and update reports for MRP calculations and material usage.
  • Work with the warehouse inventory and procurement teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and components required for production.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve any production-related issues during daily Production meetings.
  • Collaborate with procurement, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure alignment of production activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of production orders, inventory levels, and other relevant data.
  • Generate reports as and when needed on production performance and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Support opportunities for improving production efficiency and reducing lead times.
  • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure that production activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Assist in quality control processes to maintain product standards by creating rework Orders as needed to maintain production plans.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enterprise Resource Planning or Material Resource Planning experience is preferred.
