Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or other related field, or Ph.D in Psychology or other related field
- Upon hire: Alaska Masters Social Worker License, or Alaska Clinical Social Worker License, or Alaska Psychologist License, or Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License, or Alaska Professional Counselor License
- 3 years clinical experience in the mental health field.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric risk assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and implementation, and crisis intervention to patients and families in both the Medical and Psychiatric Emergency Departments
- Disseminate up to date referral information regarding community programs, both telephonically and in-person
- Consult with multi-disciplinary professionals in the community
- Manage 24 Hour Crisis Line call management and assist with inquiries regarding Mental Health Services and matching patient needs with services and reimbursement sources.
