Requirements
- Medical Doctorate or equivalent degree
- board eligible or board certified in Ophthalmology
- successful completion of a surgical Glaucoma fellowship
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical, teaching and research duties
- Supervise medical students and residents in clinics and surgeries
- Participate in shared rotations for call coverage, inpatient consults, and JayDoc clinics
- Engage actively in the didactic teaching program
- Contribute to clinical research and present findings at national and regional meetings
- Deliver clinical and surgical services under Professional Services Agreements with the VA and/or other affiliated sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic background involving teaching with interest in clinical or basic research
- Successful experience in growing own research programs with the ability to obtain funding from public and private sources
