Requirements
- The candidate must be a graduate of a United States accredited School of Optometry and passed all parts of the NBEO exam.
- Residency training in ocular disease is required.
- The candidate must also possess and maintain a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice optometry in the State of Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Perform the full range of responsibilities in the areas of teaching, research/scholarship, and service.
- Provide clinical services as a component of faculty responsibility, with or without the presence of a trainee.
- Support the academic mission of the Department.
- Pursue research, quality improvement initiatives, curriculum development, and education initiatives in consultation with the Department Chair.
- Teach clinical or didactic courses involving medical students, residents, fellows, undergraduate and graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows.
- Participate in service at the OSUWMC facilities and other clinical sites as assigned.
- Engage in active participation in divisional, departmental, and college committee functions.
- Participate in local, regional, or national professional organizations.
