Requirements
- Candidate must be at least 17 years old
- Candidate will enroll or be enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician training program per state guidelines
- Utah: Must apply for Pharmacy Technician Trainee License within four weeks of hire date and obtain within eight weeks of hire
- Colorado: Must apply for provisional Pharmacy Technician Registration
- Montana/Idaho: No training license required
- Nevada: Must apply for Pharmacy Technician Trainee License
- Demonstrated basic computer skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Prepare medication orders
- Receive prescriptions
- Complete required paperwork
- Assist with billing
- Stock medication
- Deliver medication to patients
- Support patients, pharmacists, pharmacy students, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals in relevant areas of responsibility
- Communicate effectively with all caregivers and stakeholders regarding responsibilities and identified concerns
