Requirements

  • Pharmacist license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
  • Market-specific medication administration certification, required
  • Immunization certification
  • BLS certification through an entity approved by Advocate Health
  • Non-vaccine injectable certification from the state of WI or an approved program
  • Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school
  • Typically requires 2 years of work-related experience in pharmacy practice
  • Advanced level knowledge and strategic direction of pharmaceutical services
  • Exceptional interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite or similar products
  • Strong aptitude in human resource management
  • Ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously and effectively

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate clinical pharmacy programs to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care.
  • Provide direct pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication therapy management and patient counseling.
  • Supervise pharmacy team members.
  • Coordinate schedules and workflows for the team.
  • Provide daily direction to the team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Focus on team completion of assignments and being accountable for achieving short-term performance goals and priorities.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including those of the DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy boards.
  • Educate and train pharmacy staff, residents, and students in clinical pharmacy practices and principles.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.
