Requirements
- Pharmacist license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
- Market-specific medication administration certification, required
- Immunization certification
- BLS certification through an entity approved by Advocate Health
- Non-vaccine injectable certification from the state of WI or an approved program
- Bachelor’s or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school
- Typically requires 2 years of work-related experience in pharmacy practice
- Advanced level knowledge and strategic direction of pharmaceutical services
- Exceptional interpersonal and team-building skills
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite or similar products
- Strong aptitude in human resource management
- Ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously and effectively
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate clinical pharmacy programs to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care.
- Provide direct pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication therapy management and patient counseling.
- Supervise pharmacy team members.
- Coordinate schedules and workflows for the team.
- Provide daily direction to the team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Focus on team completion of assignments and being accountable for achieving short-term performance goals and priorities.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including those of the DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy boards.
- Educate and train pharmacy staff, residents, and students in clinical pharmacy practices and principles.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.
