Requirements

  • Bachelor degree.
  • 6 years experience with health/managed care products and programs.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy/health/managed care programs, as well as policy and procedure development.
  • Project management experience from design to implementation.
  • Knowledge of the health insurance industry, including regulatory and accreditation agency requirements (such as URAC)
  • Knowledge of quality improvement and process improvement concepts.
  • PC proficiency to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience developing and facilitating presentations and reports to all levels including executives.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills including experience with developing relationships and interacting successfully with senior management and staff across multiple departments.
  • Analytical skills to develop, monitor and review data, metrics, and financial indicators and results. Analytical skills to develop business plans and strategies.
  • Experience developing complex business and clinical solutions and working with executive management on developing solutions.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as operational lead for a portfolio of pharmacy products, product implementations and product enhancements.
  • Bringing seniority and experience to the oversight of multiple implementations of varying complexity and strategic importance.
  • Understanding product scope, group impacts, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise, maximizing business impact and value creation by challenging current state.
  • Proposing realistic, differentiated solutions and engage in development of member, account, and employer centric solutions.
  • Driving consistency across implementations; collaborating across the enterprise; building meaningful relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise to achieve department, team, and product goals.
  • Ensuring integration between partner teams; serving as an operational business liaison; managing vendor relationship; providing leadership, oversight and direction to junior professionals.
  • Management and oversight of reports relating to divisional/enterprise operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in an area of study that focuses on critical thinking / problem solving activities / business or Health Care field.
  • Experience with Operations and project/programs management.
  • Advanced certification in relevant area which contributes to current job function.
  • Experience in project management, business analysis, process improvement, strategic planning, product administration or other relevant healthcare function.
  • Consulting or client/ product implementation experience in large organization.
  • Financial, estimating, and budget management experience as it relates to projects, implementations, and/or operations.
  • Conflict management and resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of health care insurance industry and current trends related to new products/networks, as well as new legislation and interaction with government affairs.
