Requirements
- Enrolled in year 1 or higher of a BS in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Licensure and/or certificate per state or federal requirements
- 1 to 3 years
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently perform pharmacy functions including filling and shipping prescription medications
- Provide customer service to patients and healthcare professionals under the supervision of a Pharmacist Preceptor
- Operate cash register and perform data entry
- Manage inventory put away when needed
- Ensure accuracy when performing all duties associated with the dispensing of pharmaceuticals
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate to advanced pharmacology knowledge, including the ability to calculate dosages and understand common drug interactions
- Prior experience providing exceptional customer service
- Experience working in a pharmacy environment preferred
- Attention to detail by applying appropriate organizational and prioritization skills
- Attention to customer focus, ensuring accurate and timely information to medical professionals and patients
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external entities
