Requirements
- Graduate of accredited Pharmacy program; eligible for Pharmacist licensure in state of practice.
- Licensed Pharmacist in the state of practice Required or eligible for license.
Responsibilities
- Acts as liaison between allied health professionals and registered nurses in providing accurate and rational drug therapy to patients upon receipt of an allied health professional’s order.
- Reviews order for dosing accuracy, drug selection, drug interactions, allergies, and appropriateness.
- Serves as a medical team consultant by participating in multidisciplinary rounds, committees, and workgroups.
- Provides drug information to allied health professionals, nurses, patients, and the general public.
Preferred Qualifications
- Residency preferred.
- Board Certification preferred.
