Requirements

  • Currently possess a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • Level 4: 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR 7+ years of work-related experience with a Masters OR 3+ years of work-related experience with a PhD
  • Level 5: 14+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR 12+ years of work-related experience with a Masters OR 9+ years of work-related experience with a PhD
  • 5+ years’ experience with complex mission systems development
  • 5+ years’ experience with hardware & software utilized on air vehicle, avionics, weapons, or mission systems
  • 5+ years’ experience with mission systems strategy and growth architecture roadmaps
  • Experience with integration of complex systems in lab & test environments
  • Experience with mission systems safety and certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead system integration lab infrastructure, interfaces, provisions to support end to end (prototype/demo through production) integration and test capabilities
  • Lead development of Lab & Test Planning
  • Provides interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify lifecycle-balanced solutions
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues
  • Supports the design and integration of open architecture Mission Systems solutions; such as, Open Mission Systems (OMS), and Open Communication Standard (OCS)
  • Analyzes supplier performance to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Researches advanced technologies for potential application to company business needs
  • Supports proposal efforts, including authoring portion of technical volume and providing estimates of required work to accomplish scope

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ engineering experience with autonomous aircraft platform mission systems
  • 10+ years’ experience with developing, documenting and maintaining complex architectures, requirements, software-to-hardware interfaces, and designs for systems
  • Experience in Level of Rigor (LOR) or Design Assurance Level (DAL) certification
  • Experience developing system requirements, verification plans, functional decomposition / allocation, and interfaces.
  • Communication experience, both written and verbal, with a comfort in public speaking and frequent interactions with external customers
  • Experience with avionics integration and verification
  • Experience working with multi-discipline engineering team
  • Experience working with suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
  • Experience working with USAF or other DOD customers
