Requirements
- Currently possess a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- Level 4: 9+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR 7+ years of work-related experience with a Masters OR 3+ years of work-related experience with a PhD
- Level 5: 14+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR 12+ years of work-related experience with a Masters OR 9+ years of work-related experience with a PhD
- 5+ years’ experience with complex mission systems development
- 5+ years’ experience with hardware & software utilized on air vehicle, avionics, weapons, or mission systems
- 5+ years’ experience with mission systems strategy and growth architecture roadmaps
- Experience with integration of complex systems in lab & test environments
- Experience with mission systems safety and certification
Responsibilities
- Lead system integration lab infrastructure, interfaces, provisions to support end to end (prototype/demo through production) integration and test capabilities
- Lead development of Lab & Test Planning
- Provides interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify lifecycle-balanced solutions
- Resolves cross-functional technical issues
- Supports the design and integration of open architecture Mission Systems solutions; such as, Open Mission Systems (OMS), and Open Communication Standard (OCS)
- Analyzes supplier performance to ensure compliance with requirements
- Researches advanced technologies for potential application to company business needs
- Supports proposal efforts, including authoring portion of technical volume and providing estimates of required work to accomplish scope
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years’ engineering experience with autonomous aircraft platform mission systems
- 10+ years’ experience with developing, documenting and maintaining complex architectures, requirements, software-to-hardware interfaces, and designs for systems
- Experience in Level of Rigor (LOR) or Design Assurance Level (DAL) certification
- Experience developing system requirements, verification plans, functional decomposition / allocation, and interfaces.
- Communication experience, both written and verbal, with a comfort in public speaking and frequent interactions with external customers
- Experience with avionics integration and verification
- Experience working with multi-discipline engineering team
- Experience working with suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
- Experience working with USAF or other DOD customers
