Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years experience as a manufacturer-specific technician or fully qualified manufacturer-specific instructor preferred
- ASE Certifications as required by OEM
- 3-5 years experience as an instructor in technical field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Planning, prioritization skills, time management skills and deadline oriented
- Knowledge of MS Office
- A patient, motivational and empathetic approach to teaching
- Problem solving and decision making skills
Responsibilities
- Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Lead by example and provide practical demonstrations
- Deliver prepared curriculum through multimedia techniques
- Prepares, develops, and/or updates curriculum from original equipment manufacturer
- Guide and mentor students on their individual projects
- Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices
- Maintains daily/weekly contact with National Program Director
- Prepares weekly reports of activities as directed
- Tests and evaluates student performance and provides counseling and guidance to at-risk students
- Adhere to all the guidelines of the UTI Travel Policy
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years experience as a manufacturer-specific technician or fully qualified manufacturer-specific instructor preferred
- 3-5 years experience as an instructor in technical field preferred
