Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience for Personnel Security Specialist III
- Current Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI access. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
- Knowledge of DISS, NBIS and NISS.
- Must possess strong organizational skills, be detail oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations. Must work well in a team environment.
- Knowledge of government security regulations (32 CFR Part 117 and ICD 704).
- 5 years of experience for Personnel Security Specialist IV
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of government security regulations (32 CFR Part 117 and ICD 704).
- Prior customer inspection experience.
Responsibilities
- Processes security clearances and accesses in accordance with government regulations, provides guidance on the completion of security paperwork, and tracks all clearance submissions.
- Administers, executes, and ensures adherence to company and government regulations, policies and procedures regarding the protection of certain programs.
- Conducts SCI and collateral security indoctrination briefings and debriefings.
- Conducts foreign travel and termination debriefings.
- Coordinates with Aerospace management to obtain pertinent information when processing clearance requests for employees and provides clearance status reports.
- Maintains security clearance records, tracking and metrics.
- Counsel employees with concerns over the polygraph and background investigation processes.
- Handles Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and reports sensitive adverse information to a multitude of different government customers.
- Interfaces with background investigators who are required to interview employees, sub-contractors, and consultants for periodic reinvestigations.
- Assists in designing, implementing, and conducting security training, briefings, and education programs.
- Submits incident reports to government customers, provides guidance on reporting responsibilities, and assists employees with clearance issues.
- Conducts self-inspections/audits in compliance with government regulations.
- Interface with government customers, contractors, employees, and all levels of management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college
- Current TS/SCI eligibility, with adjudicated poly
- FSO certification
- Knowledge of DISS, NBIS, SCT, Scattered Castles or SIMS databases.
