Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as economics, finance, statistics, engineering, or hard science.
- 0-1 year of relevant experience.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, collaborative teamwork, intellectual horsepower, curiosity, initiative, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated skill and extensive experience developing quantitative analysis in Excel.
- Experience in the following coding languages such as SQL, R, Java, or Python.
- Ability to simplify complexity and communicate statistical and analytical concepts and findings to executive, operational, and technical audiences with appropriate levels of detail and emphasis.
Responsibilities
- Supporting a holistic view across all business partners making recommendations on strategic business changes.
- Collaborating with teams across the business to develop reporting and analytical tools, supporting the monitoring of key performance metrics.
- Integrating data from across the organization and wider market to generate relevant, actionable insights and make recommendations to senior executives across DriveTime’s business segments.
- Constructing in-depth quantitative analysis by processing, manipulating, and studying large datasets by leveraging strong SQL, Python, R, and Excel skills.
- Leading large analytically based initiatives to reveal step-change improvements in profitability of business.
- Demonstrating strong conceptual skills supported by rigorous quantitative analysis to recommend strategic initiatives to senior management.
- Leveraging emerging technologies and critical thinking skills to continually innovate and automate existing methodologies, processes, and reporting.
- Effectively communicating with concise insights and/or visualizations utilizing software such as Tableau or Power BI while partnering collaboratively with colleagues and senior leaders in DriveTime.
- Being self-driven and able to take initiative to further the success of the business.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a quantitative or STEM field.
