Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business Administration, HR, Organizational Development OR 1-2 years of HR experience with a relevant degree (ex. communications, business, etc.)
- Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT, Notion AI, or Excel/Google Sheets add-ons for automating tasks or generating content
- Highly organized and process-oriented—you don’t just follow SOPs, you improve them
- Ability to self-prioritize and stay focused without needing day to day direction
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information
- Proactive, owner mindset: you notice what’s missing or broken, ask the right questions, and take action
- Strong written communication and a “get-it-done” approach
- Professional, discreet, and people-first in all interactions
Responsibilities
- Own and improve onboarding and offboarding logistics, ensuring seamless employee transitions in partnership with IT, Finance, and hiring managers.
- Keep HR systems and records up to date, process employment changes efficiently, and monitor dashboards to proactively address data inconsistencies.
- Assist with I-9, E-Verify, EEO tracking, and labor law compliance; help maintain handbooks, policies, and audit-ready documentation.
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries, draft employee documentation, administer various leaves, and manage the internal HR knowledge base.
- Support company-wide People initiatives, assist with audits, surveys, and process improvements, and leverage AI tools for increased efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting HR in a remote-first or distributed company
- Highly proficient in Microsoft, G-suite, and other productivity applications
- Interest in pursuing a long-term career in People Ops or HRBP work
