Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree and minimum 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Achieved Proficiency Level 3 (EQE) Production Process Engineering
  • Experience motivating, influencing, collaborating and gaining cooperation and action from others
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with ability to use Minitab and other statistical software; proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Responsibilities

  • Support All PDC Programs across Middletown and WPB with EQE Review
  • Lead the Proficiency Development Steering committee and drive proficiency growth within the organization
  • Develop and maintain standard work for the Process Engineering Team
  • Promote the use of data driven root cause and corrective action tool usage
  • Support PE Owned on-time production CAR (Corrective Action Request) closure
  • Support all EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) initiatives (PRA, Work-Fit, Ergo) by driving safe processes across all production product lines.
  • Lead/Participate in Employee Engagement initiatives and activities demonstrated through diverse work groups as part of the PDC’s Leadership Team.
  • Drive product cost reduction and ensure War on Cost targets are achieved through process improvements and deployment of new technologies.
  • Support Program CI and other CORE activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • OEM Manufacturing experience, ideally within a gas turbine repair Assembly & Test (DAT) facility.
  • LEAN, Continuous Improvement, and/or CORE, ACE, Six-Sigma training and experience.
