Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) before or during new hire period
- Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) considered
Responsibilities
- Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as checking vital signs and weight, assisting patients with personal care, coordinating patient transfers/transport, point of care testing, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley catheters
- Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN
- Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly
Preferred Qualifications
- State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)
