Requirements
- 1+ years of Workday experience
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance and benefits coordination
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Solid communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Multi-state payroll processing experience is a must
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls with precision and timeliness
- Maintain accurate records for new hires, terminations, and pay changes
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by gathering and analyzing data
- Collaborate with HR and various department leaders to align payroll with company goals
- Help shape payroll strategies that support broader organizational objectives
- Provide investigation expertise and assist in performance matters related to payroll issues
- Address inquiries with empathy, accuracy, and a solutions-focused approach
- Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Ensure AmeriVet’s payroll practices are legally compliant and updated
- Partner with Support Center leaders to ensure seamless onboarding processes
- Provide guidance on payroll setup for new hires
- Coordinate with benefits teams on administration, renewals, and vendor interactions as they relate to payroll
- Identify skill gaps and collaborate with L&D teams to support team development
- Deliver payroll-related insights (labor costs, leave status, etc.) to leadership
- Support decision-making through accurate and meaningful data
- Provide leadership with guidance around payroll processes and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting cross-functional HR initiatives is a plus
