Requirements

  • 1+ years of Workday experience
  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance and benefits coordination
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Multi-state payroll processing experience is a must

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls with precision and timeliness
  • Maintain accurate records for new hires, terminations, and pay changes
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by gathering and analyzing data
  • Collaborate with HR and various department leaders to align payroll with company goals
  • Help shape payroll strategies that support broader organizational objectives
  • Provide investigation expertise and assist in performance matters related to payroll issues
  • Address inquiries with empathy, accuracy, and a solutions-focused approach
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Ensure AmeriVet’s payroll practices are legally compliant and updated
  • Partner with Support Center leaders to ensure seamless onboarding processes
  • Provide guidance on payroll setup for new hires
  • Coordinate with benefits teams on administration, renewals, and vendor interactions as they relate to payroll
  • Identify skill gaps and collaborate with L&D teams to support team development
  • Deliver payroll-related insights (labor costs, leave status, etc.) to leadership
  • Support decision-making through accurate and meaningful data
  • Provide leadership with guidance around payroll processes and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting cross-functional HR initiatives is a plus
