Patient Care Associate SCI

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from a school of practical nursing or completion of one of the following: A Certified PCA/PCT Program, A Certified Nurse Assistant Program or equivalent training, A Medical Assistant Program, An EMT program, A phlebotomy training program.
• At least 2 years of work experience as a patient care associate / tech (must be inpatient setting)
• With six (6) months direct patient care experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities.
• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse who delegates tasks based upon patient needs and PCA skills and abilities.
• Address patient care needs, transport patients, specimens, and/or supplies.
• Report all deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse.

Preferred Qualifications

• With six (6) months direct patient care experience, preferred.
