Patient Access Representative I

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 1 year of customer service experience
• Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations preferred
• Previous experience with hospital information systems or word processing preferred

Responsibilities

• Obtains/confirms and enters/updates demographic and insurance information for all patients
• Verifies insurance coverage, screens patient for potential funding sources, and sets expectations for reimbursement of services
• Collects, posts, and reconciles all payments from patients
• Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional, and courteous manner
