Requirements
- High school diploma and two years of administrative experience or Associate’s degree and one year medical experience or a Bachelor’s degree
- Typing speed of 25CWPM
- Computer experience required
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and guest relations
Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for patients
- Facilitate accurate and timely completion of registration
- Distribute all paperwork necessary for patient care
- Work closely with physicians and nurses to provide optimal ambulatory health care
- Apply guest relations policies to patients, physicians and co-workers
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous healthcare experience preferred
- Knowledge of EPIC, Medical Terminology, and insurance preferred
- Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations preferred
- Previous experience with hospital information systems or word processing preferred
