Requirements
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- 0-6 months of work experience
- State licensure and/or professional certification requirement/s dependent on position
Responsibilities
- Supports patient referrals to specialty care services
- Responds to requests for specimens, tissue blocks, and slides from outside institutions
- Maintains a detailed tracking system of pathology materials and records
- Responds to requests to send molecular testing to outside laboratories
- Maintains and operates scanning equipment to produce digital computer images of human tissue for diagnostic purposes
- Supports departmental internal and external consultative services
