Requirements
- 2+ years of experience — could be in finance, operations, business development, commercial real estate, procurement, or vendor operations
- Financially-savvy
- Highly organized
- Strong negotiating skills
- Proficient use of key Google Workspace applications
- Hands-on, action-oriented, and self-motivated
- Comfortable managing a wide variety of vendor types
- Able to balance cost consciousness with speed and operational needs
Responsibilities
- Lead or support contract and pricing negotiations across vendors
- Support facility expansions and build-outs by working with vendors, contractors, and suppliers
- Handle end-to-end purchasing activities for lab supplies, greenhouse systems, and capital improvement service providers
- Monitor spend, flag savings opportunities, and partner with finance to keep budgets on track
- Identify and vet new suppliers and partners quickly
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast needs and solve bottlenecks
- Maintain simple but effective tracking systems to keep contracts, purchases, and commitments organized.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bonus if you’ve worked with biotech or hardware companies
- Experience with facilities expansion projects or capital equipment purchasing
