Requirements
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
- You have 8+ years of experience as a paralegal, ideally with technology clients with a wide array of legal documents and contractual agreements.
- You excel in collaborating with teams across Velo3D (e.g. commercial, human resources, operations, finance) and external organizations (e.g. customers, vendors).
- You can manage the entire contract process from request to execution under supervision.
- You show the ability to work reliably to meet goals with attention to detail.
- You have a high level of professionalism and motivation, and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Under the guidance and direction of the General Counsel, you will draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including software licenses, consulting and other services agreements, SaaS agreements (including data protection agreements), hardware purchase agreements, and other agreements.
- Review, make changes to, and negotiate counter party paper and adapt Velo3D templates as needed for various transactions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain efficient and effective systems for managing information, projects, and workflows to ensure accurate and timely responses.
- Assist with corporate governance duties, including the preparation of minutes and resolutions and the maintenance of the books and records for each entity.
- Quickly escalate issues to appropriate internal teams where needed and collaborate with those teams to find creative solutions.
- Participate in recurring meetings with legal colleagues and business partners to build a knowledge of Velo3D’s business and determine how to prioritize work.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Legal department to contribute to internal projects, including updates to contract templates and other internal tools and reference materials.
