Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1+ years of industrial paint experience using spray guns, epoxy’s, resins, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the application of paint, varnish, epoxy, Xylan and resin coatings on gas turbine engine parts, machinery, equipment and other plant surfaces using brushes, rollers, and conventional spraying equipment
• Check, clean, mask and prepare surfaces prior to paint application
• Follow drawings, specifications, manuals, and other detailed instructions
• Select proper equipment and use correct techniques required for preparation, application and curing
• Use gauges and instruments to check work
• Strip and recoat surfaces that fail to meet specifications and standards
• Ensure that equipment and work area is cleaned and maintained

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience painting in the aviation industry, autobody shop, or other manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with drawings, specifications, manuals, and other detailed instructions
