Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience working in the field of optics and display systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop optical display systems specifications of Augmented Reality (AR) displays.
- Perform design, optimization, and tolerance analysis of optical display systems.
- Work with key stakeholders to iterate design, review the manufacturing process, follow through as-built performance and metrology.
- Work with the multi-functional team, establishing clear goals and priorities throughout the product development process.
- Travel to support prototyping builds at component, module, and system CMs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
- Experience in mass production of consumer optical and display devices.
- Experiences in managing domestic and international vendors, completing the cycles from proof of concept through mass production.
- Experience in visual display systems design for Extended Reality (XR) devices.
- Experience in stray light analysis and mitigation, diffractive optics, polarization optics, and display calibration.
- Experience working with key stakeholders to iterate designs, review manufacturing processes, and follow through on as-built performance and metrology.
